What signs are following you?

This is a reflective post. It’s one of the things I’ve been thinking about lately:

Matt 16:16-18:

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Jesus speaking said “them that believe”. He didn’t say “them that are pastors” or “them that are evangelists”. No. He said “them that believe”, that’s you and me.

This goes beyond personal blessings to you being a blessing to others. When I remember this, I just tell myself, “Deolu, no time for feeling like a victim. You are a victor. ”

What signs are following you?

Food for thought:

Compare these two Scriptures and make your conclusion:

John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”

Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Life nugget:

The All-encompassing importance of the Holy Spirit in the life of any christian cannot be overemphasized.

Thought-provoking post. May we all leave behind signs that tell of His unfailing love and show this love to others.
