In Him, In Whom, In Jesus (V)

Up until now, I’ve been strict with the phrases: “In Him”, “In Whom” and “In Jesus”, but I should expand to “By Whom”, “Through Whom” and really everything that seems like what Jesus has done for us. But I’m well in on the New Testament Books so I’d just finish.

Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”

Ephesians 1:11 “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”

Ephesians 1:13 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise

Ephesians 2:6 “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”

Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ

Ephesians 2:21-22 “21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit

Food for thought:

…and I’m not even done with the confessions in the Book of Ephesians. I think this is the Book that tells us most of what we have in Christ and who we are in Him. Fingers crossed.

Life nugget:

  • I have redemption through the Blood of Jesus, the forgiveness of sins
  • I have obtained an inheritance in Jesus Christ
  • I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise because I believe in Jesus Christ
  • I am seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus
  • I am God’s handiwork created in Jesus Christ
  • I am no more an alien to God because of the Blood of Jesus
  • Because I am in Christ, God dwells inside me through the Holy Spirit
