How early were you?

I attended a meeting recently which was supposed to last for 2 hours. I remember getting uncomfortable when we shot past the time by 40 mins. I wasn’t really happy about it until my conscience spoke up: “When did you arrive for the meeting?”

You see, I arrived probably 20 mins after the time the meeting was supposed to begin and although it hadn’t started by the time I got there, late was late and I got there late. So I thought deeper: I’m okay with it when I get to something late but I get upset when it doesn’t end when it should.

Think about it: If the Pastor doesn’t end the service by the set time, you probably tune off. This is not an excuse for over-stretched meetings. I believe time should be kept to. But am I practicing what I believe? It becomes difficult to be the judge of something you are guilty of.

Give it some thought. Happy Sunday.

Food for thought:

The probability that I’d get to an interview late is much lower than the one that I’d get to Church late. Hmm…perhaps I feel too familiar with God?  I need to re-order my priorities.

Life nugget:

Luke 6:31 “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”
