~The fall~

Even he was amazed at how lucky he was with this one. It didn’t take long for him to convince her that sex between two consenting adults that love themselves irrespective of marital status was not against the laws in the Holy Book. His explanation was based off 1 Corinthians 6. “Paul said you should not take your body and be with a harlot. Are you a harlot?

As time went on, He had even succeeded in cutting her off from the fold. She had a fallout with her choir leader in Church and he had advised her to leave the Church completely. At that point, he had complete control over her because even for a heathen, he knew there was something about that Word they preach in Churches that is able to pierce through hearts. That wasn’t good for ‘business’.

Ola, where have you been in 4 days that I haven’t heard from you?

He ignored her as he continued watching the football match. It was an Arsenal match against Manchester United and his team was giving Robin Van-the-traitor a ‘guard of honor’.

Ola! I asked you a question! You can’t just disappear without letting me know where you’ve been, return to my house, watch my TV and ignore me” she said, as she stood in front of the TV, blocking his vision.

Ohhh! What a goooooooal! Robin Van Persie seals a win for Manchester United!

Those were the words Ola heard from the TV before going ballistic.

What?! You made me miss the goal?” *slap* “How-” *slap* “dare-” *wooze* “you?” *slap**punch**kick*. It was easy to beat her because all he had to think about was RVP. When he had satisfied his urge, he stormed out.

She had been calling him since then, sending text messages of apologies. He had not replied or answered any of them and he wasn’t about to start now. He was done on that front. In fact, *opens phone battery cover and removes sim card*, it was time to close that chapter completely. He tossed the sim card into the bin. He always made sure he cleared his tracks- new sim card for every girl; they never meet his friends; they never visit him at home.

He dried his hands as he closed the restroom door behind him. It was time- time to answer another altar call.

Food for thought:

It’s time for your thoughts. Discussions are now open.

Life nugget:

Proverbs 22:24 “Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.”

Nice posts…hmmm…where was the voice of the Holy Spirit? Was she listening? Did she commune with God daily? Did she pay her tithe and offering with full understanding as she ought to (I will rebuke the devourer for your sake Malachi 3:10 )? Did she get someone to serve as a mentor or spiritual head over their relationship when she saw it was getting deep? It is not bad to fall in love…but it is good to check the persons with God… if He is fine with them… most of my relationships have been short term..because God said NO! … 🙂 .. Bottom line: Your relationship with God supercedes every other one.. stay in tune with him daily.. 🙂

Also..asides listening to the voice of the God, one needs to check the depth and level of Spiritual understanding of one’s friends. There is a level of friendship I have with people and most of them are ranked based on the depth/ knowledge of God I can see in them…..minding one’s company is key. Whosoever one follows determines what follows the person (BDO). Also remaining in Zion (God’s house) is key..there is something about the presence of God …..the spirit of just men made perfect and the company of innumerable angels… I know the lady in this series got it wrong from the foundation (her relationship with God).

  5. KennyA says:

Most of the times I have faced certain challenges or disappointments have been times when I was not in tune with God, missed personal bible study, disobeyed God or procrastinated my prayer times…it is all about the foundation of your life that must be kept strong at every point in time.
