When God is with you

Ever thought about why the Red Sea parted for the Israelites to pass through? Or why the River Jordan also parted for them? Let’s review these Biblical accounts.

Exodus 14:15-16:

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.”

Joshua 3:17:

“And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.”

So was it the Rod of Moses that parted the Red Sea? Or was it the Ark of the covenant that parted River Jordan? It’s not these physical items that did the work as such but what they represented- The Presence of God. Let’s confirm this in Psalm 114:5,7 (AMP):

“What ails you, O [Red] Sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?…Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,”

It was indeed the Presence of God. And what is the significance of this to us that believe? 1 John 4:4:

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Whatever obstacle that is in your part today, let it know that you carry the Presence of God.

Food for thought:

Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Life nugget:

Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
